Moon Sweepers on PS5, Xbox, and Switch: Current Status
A verified platform status table for Moon Sweepers, the exact checks behind it, and the honest odds of a console version from a two-person studio.
Last updated:
No console version exists, and nobody has announced one
As of October 28, 2026, Moon Sweepers is a Windows game sold on Steam and nothing else. There is no PlayStation build, no Xbox build, and no Switch build. DragDrop Games has not published a console roadmap, a port window, or a "coming soon" page. Anyone telling you otherwise is guessing, and this page will not repeat the guess.
Platform Status, Checked
This is the state of the store as of the date above. Every row was verified against the Steam listing for app 5335510 and the developer's own Steam announcements, not against aggregator sites.
| Platform | Status | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| PC (Windows, Steam) | Available | Released October 23, 2026, $8.99 with a 15% launch discount to $7.64 |
| PC (Windows, other storefronts) | Not listed | Steam is the only storefront carrying the game |
| PlayStation 5 / PS4 | Not announced | No store page, no rating, no statement |
| Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One | Not announced | No Microsoft Store listing and no Game Pass entry |
| Nintendo Switch / Switch 2 | Not announced | No eShop listing, no rating |
| Xbox Game Pass / PS Plus | Not included | No subscription catalog entry under the name |
| macOS / Linux / SteamOS | Not supported | Steam lists Windows as the only operating system |
The distinction between "not announced" and "confirmed cancelled" matters. Nothing has been cancelled, because nothing was ever promised. Mac and Linux players are in the same position, covered on the Mac, Linux, and Steam Deck page.
How We Checked, and How You Can Check Too
A platform status page is only useful if you can re-run the check yourself. These are the four signals we used, in the order that gives the clearest answer.
- The Steam platform flags. The store page's system requirements block lists exactly one operating system: Windows 10 minimum, Windows 11 recommended. Steam's own platform icons appear at the top of the page. When a game ships for Mac or Linux, they show up there automatically. They do not for this one.
- Console storefront searches. Searching the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, and the Nintendo eShop for "Moon Sweepers" returns nothing published by DragDrop Games. The full PC system requirements page lists the same platform table if you want a second look at the specs themselves.
- The developer's own posts. DragDrop Games' October 24 message to players describes the studio as "a small development team of just two people" and lists its next tasks: robot units stopping when players move away, remaining crashes, automation reliability, and progression balance. Consoles are not on that list.
- The Steam news feed. This is where a port would appear first, because it is the only channel the studio actively maintains. Following the game on Steam costs nothing and pushes announcements to you.
One caution: names collide. "Moon Sweepers" is close to a 2021 film, a 1983 Atari title, and at least one unrelated mobile game. If a listing with a similar name appears on a console store, check the publisher line before you spend money. DragDrop Games is the only publisher attached to this game.
Why a Port Is Unlikely Soon
This part is editorial judgment, clearly labeled as such, not a developer statement.
A two-person team that shipped a 1.0 on October 23 and pushed two patches in the first 48 hours has its entire capacity pointed at one thing: making the PC build stable. Console certification is a separate process with its own submission cycles, controller and save-system requirements, and per-platform performance bars. It is not a weekend task for a studio that is still fixing conveyor bugs.
There is also a structural reason the game resists a quick port. Moon Sweepers runs 16-player online co-op lobbies with a shared economy and a shared upgrade matrix, plus a base that grows into hundreds of placed structures. That is a lot of synchronized state. Every additional platform multiplies the testing matrix for that state, and the multiplayer guide shows how much of the game's complexity lives in that shared world rather than in the sweeping.
Our position, stated plainly: treat a console version as unannounced and unscheduled. If it happens, it will be news, and it will happen after the PC build settles. It will not be a quiet shadow-drop.
If You Only Own a Console
There is no workaround worth recommending. Moon Sweepers is not playable on a PS5, an Xbox, or a Switch today, including through any streaming or crossplay arrangement, because crossplay requires a second platform to exist and there is only one.
What you can do that actually helps:
- Wishlist and follow on Steam. A wishlist is the signal a small studio sees when it evaluates whether a port is worth the certification cost. It is also the delivery mechanism for the announcement itself.
- Check the wiki home page occasionally. We update platform status when it changes, and we date every claim.
- Do not buy a "console key" from a reseller. There is no console build to key. Any listing offering one is either a different game or a scam.
If you have a Windows PC that meets even the minimum spec — an i5-8400, a GTX 1650, and 8 GB of RAM — you are already inside the supported configuration. That is a modest machine by 2026 standards, and the spec breakdown explains where the real ceiling sits once your base fills with machines.
For players weighing the game against other cleaning sims before committing to a platform, the comparison with PowerWash Simulator covers what Moon Sweepers does differently, including the part where sixteen people share one bank account.
This page is dated for a reason
Platform status changes fast in a game's first year. Everything above reflects October 28, 2026. If you are reading this later, re-run the four checks in the "How We Checked" section rather than trusting a snapshot — including ours.
Is Moon Sweepers coming to PS5 or Xbox?
No version has been announced, and the developer has not commented on consoles at all. The studio is two people and its public patch notes are focused entirely on PC stability. There is no date to wait for, so do not plan around one.
Can I play Moon Sweepers on Switch or Switch 2?
No. There is no eShop listing and no announced handheld version of any kind. The only supported platform is Windows through Steam.
Is Moon Sweepers on Game Pass or PS Plus?
No. Neither subscription catalog lists the game, and there is no console build for a subscription service to carry. The only way to play is to buy it on Steam for $8.99, or $7.64 during the launch discount that runs through October 30, 2026.
Does Moon Sweepers have crossplay?
There is nothing to cross-play with. Every lobby is a Windows Steam lobby, capped at 16 players, and everyone in it needs the same build. The multiplayer guide covers how those lobbies are structured.
If a console port is announced, where will it show up first?
Almost certainly the game's Steam news feed, which is the studio's only maintained announcement channel. A console store page would follow. Follow the game on Steam if you want the news without watching this page.
